Departmental Guest/Visitor Parking Pass
All departments who are having guests/visitors on campus are required to arrange for a guest/visitor pass through parking services. We will be happy to supply your department with guest/visitor passes in advance for distribution upon arrival or to be mailed with any correspondence prior to arrival. All guest/visitor passes are to be filled completely and the bottom portion returned to our office at Parking Services. In the past we have had several departments who have created their own parking pass and distributed them to their guest/visitor. This makes it very difficult for parking services to collect information on the number of guests/visitors to campus and vehicle information that is needed for identification purposes. It also creates a situation were the guest/visitor receives a citation, this is not an image we want to project to our guests/visitors. The guest/visitor parking passes that are distributed from Parking Services are number sequenced and these numbers are assigned to the department that requests them.
- The permit is only valid if filled out completely and the bottom portion returned to our office via campus mail (9568).
- Guest/visitor permits are free, and we will supply your department with as many as you request.
- Please do not issue to vendors, faculty/staff or students of the university.
- Each department must keep a log showing permit number, the guest/visitor who receives the permit and the purpose of the visit.
We ask that this information be conveyed to all deans, department heads, and directors. This procedure is necessary to assure proper parking practices and to avoid citations being issued to visitors.
